I heard in the news today that Disney bought Marvel comics for 4.5 billion dollars. I've been wondering what this will do to the publishing side at Marvel. Disney should be able to give Marvel the resources to stay on top of the comics industry to years to come. It would be interesting to see Disney properties coming out under the Marvel banner with Marvel's talent stable handling the creative chores. I also think that seeing Marvel characters incorporated into Disney World and Disneyland would be fun to see as I make yearly pilgrimages to Disney World in Florida.
It would be nice if Marvel Entertainment is included in the sale of Marvel. Can you imagine Disney's animation department handling Marvel animated movies? All I know is that comic fans should not be disappointed in Marvel being sold to Disney. As a comic fan I know that I for one love this marriage of entertainment juggernauts.
